Music Ministry

Tradition says, "When you sing, you pray twice" (and Episcopalians love to sing!)

Music is a vital part of our Sunday 9:30 a.m. worship service.

The choir meets Sunday mornings from 8:30 a.m. to 9:15 a.m. to rehearse for the upcoming service.

Throughout the year, our choir participates with other area choirs for special services (such as Advent) and rotate a "hymn sing" among the parishes as an opportunity to learn new hymns from each other, as well as other musical traditions.  They have also sung the National Anthem at the Lake County Captains Games in association with Scout Troup 124 presenting the U.S. Flag.

Periodically, music ministry puts on Taizé Prayer Services, which is a style of worship practiced by the ecumenical Taizé community in France, characterized by repetitive singing of simple harmonized tunes, interspersed with readings, prayers, and periods of silence.

Our organist, Aleksandr Leybkind, practices for upcoming liturgy.
